We are currently recruiting a Nurse for our Residential Service.

A strong commitment to caring and an empathetic understanding of those with an intellectual disability are essential attributes for this role.  The successful candidate will need great people skills, be flexible and have experience with rapid and complex changing work environments.

 Qualifications & Experience

  • Be a Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) which is desirable or
  • Be a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role working w/adults with an intellectual disability.
  • A good level of IT and administrative skills.
  • A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence

Gardener/Maintenance Positions on CE Scheme2022-11-08T11:02:45+00:00

We currently have 2 Gardner/ Maintenance Positions available on a CE Scheme

These are developmental opportunities so there is no experience necessary.

Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 19.5 Hours per week, location Delta Centre Carlow.

Duties will include Basic Gardening and Maintenance duties in the award-winning Delta Sensory Gardens and Delta Centre.

We have 3 General Administration Roles on a CE Scheme available with Delta Centre, Carlow at 19.5 hours per week.  Delta Centre operates flexible working hours to facilitate staff.

These are developmental opportunities therefor no experience is necessary.  Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

In this role working as part of the Delta Centre Team your duties will include various administrative duties including accounts, dealing with invoicing and payments and relief reception work

Task will include including dealing with incoming calls (answering queries transferring calls or taking messages), printing, photocopying, and scanning documents and dealing with the public.

Delta Centre provides residential, respite, training, day, and multi-sensory services to adults with learning disabilities.  Service users attend from Carlow and surrounding areas.  Delta Centre is an integral part of Carlow and employs up to 170 full and part-time skilled health and social care staff.

We are recruiting full & part time Care Assistants for our Residential Service.

Qualifications & Experience

 FETAC Level 5 or 6 Qualification in Health Care.

  • 6 months experience in a similar role working w/adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • A good level of IT and administrative skills.
  • A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence

We are currently recruiting Social Care Workers for our newly opened Respite Home

The Social Care Worker (SCW) will provide day-to-day personal care and support for the Respite Service Users. The Social Care Worker must have the desire and the belief that the person with an intellectual disability has something unique, equal and important to offer society.

The Social Care Worker in co-operation with the Social Care Leader will be responsible for ensuring that our residents have good, high quality, safe, meaningful and inclusive lives.

The position requires a high degree of understanding and commitment to the individual resident and to Delta services. The prime consideration at all times must be the interests and well-being of the individuals availing of our services.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in the field of social care is essential.
  • A degree level 7 or 8 qualification in Social Care / Social Studies or equivalent field is a requirement for this position.
  • A sound knowledge and proven ability to interpret and apply legislation such as The National Standards for Adults with Disabilities
  • Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be highly motivated
  • Excellent record keeping skills are required
  • Proven ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
